Completed course on Multidimensional Phenotypic Evolution
Carmelo has just completed giving the course on Multidimensional Phenotypic Evolution (10-14 March 2025) organised by the German company Physalia Courses.
This is a 5-day course, covering both essential topics such as principal component analysis as well as more advanced topics (e.g., studying parallel evolution, or variation in geographic space) with an emphasis on multidimensional phenotypes (e.g., shape, gene expression). People interested in geometric morphometrics had the opportunity to attend the course on Foundations of geometric morphometrics in February.
This year’s course has seen the participation of several engaged participants from many countries and different continents.
This is the first edition of this course in this format as in previous years Carmelo had delivered 7 editions of a single course in Geometric Morphometrics. The new format allows more time to delve even deeper in data analysis and allows participants to choose whether they want to focus on a specific area.
