A new paper with Carmelo as a coauthor has been just published in Current Biology.
The paper deals with how the word “biodiversity” is used in publications through an analysis of the title and the content of several articles. Among other things, the word is often misused in a way to imply more general findings than a given paper would warrant.
The study has been led by Stefano Mammola, involves several members – including Carmelo – of the working group on Biodiversity at the National Research Council, as well as members of the Laboratory for Integrative Biodiversity Research at the University of Helsinki
